I sit here Saturday Morning, June 12, absolutely amazed. VBS 2010 was amazing, my dog amazes me, my wife's beauty (inside and out) is amazing. My biggest amazement is my God. His love for someone like me. His favor, His kindness, His Grace. It AMAZES me. Year after year, Amazing Grace is the #1 hymn. I heard a preacher speak on grace, how it is the absolute opposite of works, yet most people live a works based religion. Their favorite hymn goes against what they believe. Funny. God gave us this gift, ours to accept, yet we fail to grasp it....sometimes. The dictionary defines "amaze" as
"to overwhelm with surprise or sudden wonder; astonish greatly." God is overwhelming, and his gift of grace astonishes greatly. Today can be amazing. Tomorrow will take care of itself. God is Amazing. Find something that amazes you. Be amazing to someone.
